Lake with Exothermic Bottom during Freezing

This is an Agent-Based Simulation of a body of water at a uniform 10C, in the process of freezing, starting with ice at the top, and an exothermic source (decaying vegetation) of 6C at the bottom.

Temperatures range from 10C at the top to 0C below, at 2 degree intervals. The thermal exchange from one layer to the other is ad hoc, with small stochastic perturbations. The resulting temperatures are used to find the densities to 8 decimal place, to determine the movement by exchange with a lower layer. There are 600 vertical layers.
